From the conclusion,

YES, you can make it.

Setting up the Raspberry pi Printer server with Samsung Laser printer is not easy as just following up the instructions from the information on the Internet searching simply.

And you could easily find those instructions from simple typing the phase.

But those all search result(only except one) could not make you success, who use the latest raspbian image.

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=15653

Because the raspbian of Raspberry pi have changed their float supporting from armel Soft-float to armhf Hard float.

Samsung printer driver for arm linux is all made by compiling with armel supporting, which you can download from Samsung support website or the search result.

SO you can find the system are not working well with an error status of CUPS like

idle - File "/usr/lib/cups/filter/rastertospl" not available: No such file or directory

And that' why this happened, you already saw lots of error message when installing the driver at rasbian on Raspberry pi which system supports armhf,

INTERNAL ERROR: ABORT: 'Unexpected architecture 'armhf'', execution aborted

But the resolution is simple.

Please select "RAW" as another maker/manufacturer at the step to select a model and go to the finish to add a printer.

After all, just try to test print.

I guess you met the paper from the printer.

I just started setting up the Raspberry pi printer server because the printer supporting is very bad on my router, Netgear Nighthawk R7000/AC1900.

The new world!!

when compared to support printing between Netgear's and Raspberry pi with CUPS.

PLEASE DONT GIVE UP with Samsung printers.
